Mechanical Design Engineer III

Location: Redwood City, CA

Major duties:

Integral member of engineering team responsible for new product development. Designs, analyzes and tests new electro-mechanical assemblies and products from concept phase to final product release. Conducts feasibility studies, develops and tests new and modified designs to validate design principles. Interfaces with internal and external customers to develop products consistent with market requirements. Manages project schedules and deliverables with moderate supervision.

Essential requirements:

Must have a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or relevant technical discipline and at least 7 years of progressive engineering experience in mechanical systems including fluid dynamics, thermal analysis and/or stress analysis. Must have design experience with demonstrated proficiency using Solidworks 3-D modeling and analysis software. Working knowledge of Pro/Engineer, Inventor, and/or AutoCAD are also desirable. Requires demonstrated ability to organize and manage project schedules and work closely with electrical, software, and systems engineering groups to achieve group objectives. Must be proficient using Windows and MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
