MILPITAS, CA, May 12, 2008 – Celerity, Inc., a technology leader in precision instruments and advanced gas and liquid delivery solutions for the global semiconductor and electronics industries, announced that Timothy Harris has joined Celerity as Chief Executive Officer. Harris brings over 25 years of experience in various executive management roles with leading global semiconductor and electronics companies.
Harris most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Komag, a leading manufacturer of recordable media serving the disk drive industry. Before joining Komag, Harris served as Chief Operating Officer of iolon, Inc., a supplier of widely tunable lasers and other products for the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining iolon, Harris served as Senior Vice President of worldwide technology manufacturing operations at Seagate Technology, a designer and manufacturer of hard disk drives. Harris joined Seagate in 1990 as Manager of Ferrite Heads, and subsequently transferred to the position of Vice President, Managing Director of Malaysian Head Operations and ultimately Senior Vice President of Worldwide Slider and Recording Heads Operations. Before joining Seagate, Harris held manufacturing and executive positions at Conner Peripherals, Domain Technology and Memorex.
Harris holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Santa Clara University and a Bachelors degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
