Celerity and Fujikin Form Strategic Alliance

Companies to collaborate on the marketing, sales and support of Celerity mass flow controllers in Japan

MILPITAS, CA, July 8, 2008 – Celerity, Inc., a technology leader in precision instruments and advanced gas and liquid delivery solutions for the global semiconductor and electronics industries, today announced that it has reached an agreement with Fujikin, Inc., a Japan based leading supplier of advanced fluid and gas components and control systems, for Fujikin to market, sell, and support privately labeled Celerity mass flow controllers (MFCs) in Japan.

The strategic alliance brings together Celerity’s demonstrated leadership in mass flow technologies with Fujikin’s expertise in gas control systems and extensive infrastructure serving the Asia Pacific region. Fujikin plans to commence selling privately labeled Celerity MFCs to its customers on July 15, 2008.

“Fujikin’s leadership position in advanced gas control systems for the Japanese semiconductor, flat panel and solar markets makes them an ideal partner to expand our MFC business in the region,” said David Somo, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Celerity. “Combining Fujikin’s long-standing relationships with Japanese equipment manufacturers and extensive support infrastructure with Celerity’s mass flow control products will enable us to better serve our customers in Japan, and build on Celerity’s position as the leading global MFC supplier to the electronics industry.”

“We are very excited about our new partnership with Celerity,” said Masami Maeda, Director of Special Equipment at Fujikin. “We consider it a great opportunity to serve our customer’s needs with market leading mass flow control technology through our extensive infrastructure and expertise in advanced gas and liquid control solutions for the electronics industry.”

Press Releases
LF100
The Celerity LF100 employs proprietary technology to meet the needs of the most demanding wet chemical processes. This technology utilizes non-intrusive ultrasonic sensors to ensure that liquids are delivered without impacting sensitive process materials and eliminating particulate contribution from the component. Closed-loop control provides fast recovery time for setpoint changes and fluctuation in facility pressure.
Benefits:
  • Provides solution for problematic peristaltic pumps
  • Optimizes chemical consumption, improving process reproducibility
  • Repeatable controlled dispense rates minimizes waste
  • Reduces wafer defects attributed to current dispensing methods
